Leadership Institute—Final Spots Left

There may be only one or two spots left for the TODOS Summer 2022 Virtual Leadership Institute to be held Wednesday and Thursday, June 29-30, from 9:00 AM – 12:30 PM Pacific Time. Don’t lose out. Register now before it’s too late! If you have difficulty registering or the institute is full, contact Maria Zavala.

TODOS to Focus on Systems Changes

At the June 2022 TODOS Board meeting, the Board voted to focus its resources on creating systemic change. “Systemic change” here means that TODOS will engage members and supporters to enact change throughout the educational system, at the district, state, and federal levels. More information will be included in future Enews.

TODOS 2023 Conference: Save the Date!

The TODOS 2023 Conference will be in person and held June 21-23, 2023, in Albuquerque, NM. Check the Enews monthly for Call for Speaker Proposals, conference theme, registration, and special activities. The conference co-chairs are Zandra de Araujo and Maria del Rosario Zavala. Looking forward to seeing everyone again!

Staff the TODOS Booth at CAMT

The Conference for the Advancement of Mathematics Teaching (CAMT) 2022 will be held in San Antonio, TX at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center July 13-15. TODOS will have an Exhibit Booth and members attending are encouraged to sign up to staff the booth. There are a couple of Exhibitor’s badges available if you are willing to be at the booth at least four hours. Contact the editor if you’re interested.

Call for Proposals: AMTE Professional Book Series

The AMTE Professional Book Series, Vol. 6 will be titled Building Community to Center Equity and Justice in Mathematics Teacher Education. This new book will provide mathematics teacher educators practical ideas of how to build community to center conversations and action on equity and justice in mathematics teacher education. We the People Math Literacy for All (WTPML4A)

Register for the free WTPML4A Online National Conference. We the People Math Literacy for All Alliance in conjunction with The Algebra Project announce a free virtual working conference July 28-30. There will be 42 interactive sessions designed by students, teachers, and researchers. This is your opportunity to learn about the work of the Alliance participants and allies.

NASBE Releases The State Education Standard

The National Association of State Boards of Education (NASBE) released the newest issue of The State Education Standard, which focuses on advancing math and science education. All students can be good at math and science, yet many students disengage out of boredom or a belief that they cannot excel in either. Go to the social media kit to disseminate information more broadly.
