Call for Iris Carl Award Nominations

The TODOS' Iris Carl Leadership and Equity Award recognizes an individual who has made significant contributions to the quality of mathematics education provided to underserved students, in particular to Latino/Hispanic students. Nominate a deserving individual by February 20, 2010.

The 2010 TODOS-DUKE Energy Foundation Scholarship Awards

The TODOS-Duke Energy Foundation Scholarship Awards provide financial support to attend the NCTM Annual Meeting and/or the NCSM Annual Conference. Visit the website for information and application form. Deadline is February 12, 2010.

Launch of Mateo and Cientina

The Lawrence Hall of Science has launched the new Mateo and Cientina website, www.mateoycientina.org, named for the main characters in an NSF-supported educational cartoon series. Through cartoons and activities, the website demonstrates how mathematics and science can be fun and educational for the whole family.
