Save the Date for the TODOS 2020 Conference!
The TODOS 2020 Conference will be here before you know it. Save the date and encourage your colleagues and friends to attend. Sometime this fall, the call for proposals to present at TODOS 2020 will be publicized on the TODOS website, in the Enews, and via the TODOS listserv. The conference will be held June 25-27, 2020, at the Scottsdale Plaza Resort in the Phoenix Metropolitan area. Hope to see you there!

Larry Lesser: Grand Prize Winner of NSF Contest
TODOS member Larry Lesser's team won the $3000 Grand Prize in the Mid/Advanced Career category in the NSF's inaugural We Are Mathematics Video Competition. Their winning three-minute video (about a project Lesser spoke on at the 2018 TODOS conference in Scottsdale) was screened at the National Math Festival and may be viewed here. Congratulations to Larry’s team!

Thank a Teacher for Social Justice Awardees
Gloria Brown Brooks was one of many awardees on May 10th at the Teachers 4 Social Justice’s annual “Thank a Teacher for Social Justice” awards celebration. This award recognizes teachers who often go unacknowledged for their tireless work. The awards ceremony was held on May 10th at the Eric Quezada Center for Culture and Politics in San Francisco. Congratulations, Gloria!

English Learners in STEM Subjects Webinars
Since the public release of English Learners in STEM Subjects, the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine has produced five webinars that further discuss the findings and recommendations of the report. All of these webinars are free to access. This report provides guidance on how to improve learning outcomes in STEM for English learners.
